A Message from our Principal, Chris Hardy

Hello Sunrise Community,

Dress for the Weather: Although this has been a particularly pleasant winter season, colder weather is setting in, please make certain that when the kids leave the house they have their coats, hats and gloves.  There will be outside lineup if the temperature is 20 degrees or higher (factoring wind chill). That is the same threshold for recess.

Cell Phones: Children now are considered part of the “Millennial” generation, and the use of technology characterizes the way many of them interact with the world.  However, cell phones can become a distraction to the learning environment. Students are required to keep cell phones in their backpacks during the day, turned off. They can use them after they leave the building.

Thank you for your attention to these matters, and for being great partners in your child’s education.

Yours in Education,
