As part of CCSD's Safe Routes to School grant, we encourage you to consider the many benefits of safe, active transportation to and from school for you, your children and our community!
Now that we have seen our first taste of wintery weather please make sure your child is dressed properly. We are outside for line-up and recess every day unless it is below 20 degrees. See more regarding delayed start and cancellations here.

Please remember, Sunrise is a NO cupcakes/cake for birthday celebrations at school. Parents may bring cookies for their child to share with classmates but make sure to check with the teacher before bringing them. Any cakes/cupcakes brought will be sent home with parents. Thank you for your consideration.
Please join us for breakfast with members of the Colorado General Assembly who represent the Cherry Creek School District. This is a great opportunity to become better acquainted with CCSD state representatives and senators in an informal setting prior to the 2018 legislative session. Breakfast with CCSD legislators will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. on Thurs., Nov. 16 at the Student Achievement Resource Center, SARC. Get more information and register here.
Students do better in school when they’re actually in school, not home sick with a cold or the flu. So as we enter cold and flu season, take steps to protect your family’s health. Watch our Staying Healthy video for some simple tips, such as hand washing, that can help stop the spread of germs. Check with your health care provider to see if a flu vaccine is recommended for you and your family. Flu season begins in October and lasts through the winter months. Get more information about fighting the flu here.

With access to the internet comes the availability of material that may not be of educational value or appropriate for students. While at school, CCSD has taken precautions to restrict access to inappropriate or harmful web sites. However, on the internet it is impossible to control all materials and limit all access to information that has no educational value. CCSD firmly believes that the valuable information and the interaction available on the internet far outweigh the possibility that users may procure material that is not consistent with the educational goals of CCSD.
